Body
**This program is dependent on having clear weather! We will reschedule in case of rain!
Raku is a Japanese firing technique where you take your pottery out of the kiln while it’s still extremely hot and put it into a container of flammable materials like newspaper or sawdust to create a smoky, metallic, or cracked effect! We're in luck! We have some local pottery and ceramics experts coming out to help us fire our very own raku pottery!
We will begin with instructions on how this program will go in the Teen Section of the library and then move next door to the Blessed Sacrament's parking lot to do the actual pottery firing!
PLEASE DRESS TO BE OUTSIDE
This program takes place at the library AND Blessed Sacrament's parking lot next door!
